From the CEO’s Desk
Spring is When it Happens
Spring always tells you a lot. You can feel it in the showroom. Customers aren’t just looking anymore.
They’ve been thinking about their projects for a while, and now they’re ready to make a decision.
They’re asking better questions, narrowing things down, and trying to figure out who they trust to get it done right.
That’s when the small things start to matter: having the right product available, being able to answer without hesitation, knowing that when a customer says “let’s go,” everything behind that sale is going to come together the way it should.
That’s what we focus on at Southwind.
Not just products, but being steady, being consistent, and being ready when you need us. Because when things are moving quickly on your end, you shouldn’t have to second guess what’s happening on ours.

Support Where it Matters Most
Every showroom is different. Every market is different. And you know your customers better than anyone.
Our role is simple. Support what’s already working and help make it even stronger.
That might mean walking your showroom together and spotting opportunities to clean up a display or highlight what’s selling well. It might mean making sure you have the right mix of products that install smoothly and hold up over time. Or it might just be making sure your team has what they need to feel confident when a customer is standing in front of them.
Your Southwind Territory Manager is there for all of it. To be another set of eyes, another resource, and a partner who’s invested in helping you succeed.

What Customers Are Asking For: Waterproof that Works
Customers today expect more from their floors. They want something that looks right, feels right, and holds up to real life without second guessing it later. That’s why waterproof is no longer a bonus. It’s expected.
Southwind’s waterproof solutions are built with that in mind. From rigid core flooring to matching trims and stair treads, everything is designed to work together and perform the way it should. When it’s built the right way, it becomes an easy conversation.
You’re not explaining features. You’re showing them a floor they can live on without worry.
And when customers feel that kind of confidence, it usually doesn’t take long to move forward.
Confidence Behind Every Order
You’ve probably seen it before.
A customer is ready. The install is scheduled. Everything is lined up. And then one question comes up that can change everything.
“Can we get it in time?”
That’s where consistency matters. At Southwind, we focus on being ready for those moments. Having inventory in place. Being able to handle last-minute needs. Making sure trims, accessories, and flooring show up when they’re supposed to.
Because when your team knows the product is there and it’s going to arrive when it needs to, they sell differently. There’s more confidence in the conversation, and fewer obstacles at the finish line.
That’s the part we take seriously.
Behind the Scenes
Meet Jacob Sangster

This month, we’re proud to highlight Jacob Sangster, Freight Analyst in our Logistics department.
Jacob started in Customer Service before moving into Logistics, which gives him a clear understanding of what matters most on your side of the order.
Today, he works closely with freight carriers to make sure shipments are handled accurately and priced correctly. That attention to detail helps reduce unnecessary costs and keeps things moving the way they should.
What does that mean for you? Fewer surprises. More consistency. And a smoother experience from the time an order is placed to when it arrives.
Jacob is known for being steady, easy to work with, and always willing to step in when something needs attention. That approach makes a difference for both our team and our customers.
Outside of work, Jacob recently welcomed twin daughters, Ellis and Annie, and is enjoying life as a new dad.
We’re grateful for the care and consistency he brings to Southwind every day.
The Final Word
This time of year tends to move quickly. Customers are making decisions, schedules are filling up, and opportunities come and go faster than expected.
Through all of it, our focus stays the same. Show up, stay consistent, and be ready when it matters.
We’re proud to be in it with you.
